Paolo Angeli prepared Sardinian guitar, voice
Hamid Drake drum, percussions, voice
The sultan of Illinois, Hamid Drake, one of the most interesting drummers in contemporary jazz, plays the drums; Paolo Angeli plays the guitar, his native island emerging behind each of his notes. The journey, the path, are unforeseeable; they carry us back to the sound density experienced at the bottom of skyscrapers in Chicago; they give us back the reflective and silent motif of the ‘graniti galluresi’. The two artists navigate using only rough maps and coordinates, always producing concerts, which are remarkably capable of provoking… wonder!
