VOSTOK – “From up here, earth is beautiful, without borders or boundaries…¡поехали !!!“- Yuri Gagarin
April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin makes history as the first human to orbit the Earth. We are in the 60s and there has been a mutation of the wings of feathers and wax of Icarus in VOSTOK, a few square meters capsule, that flying to the stars, makes real what up to a decade before seemed impossible. The trio Piccola Orchestra Gagarin traces in his new album VOSTOK this adventure, leaving behind the beautiful album Platos Combinados, to propose a musical parable in orbits where musical genres are recycled into a compelling mosaic. A futuristic Don Quixote who lands on the wrong spot – Their music synthesizes the paths of three players, who choose the metaphor of the journey in space to blend different flavors: indy rock, pop avant-garde, jazz and traditional music of Sardinia and Russia (re-read à la Tom Waits and Umm Kulthum). The mission is secret and we are not allowed to know the route: fly on the wings of imagination, to retrace and relive the adventure of Gagarin.
